Baskets - say No to kitchen clutter

I like keeping things organized.  I use baskets for keeping and storing various things. They look elegant and control the clutter. It helps me find and arrange things easily. Since both Debarshi and I like to cook, it's always good to have things organized in the kitchen so that we don't have to keep asking each other while cooking.

I keep baskets of different shapes and colors for keeping different things. I keep the kitchen towels, mitts and potholders in a basket on the kitchen counter top where they are easily accessible. All napkins and silverware, which are used occasionally, are kept in another basket. This helps us to arrange the table quickly because everything is in one place.

I always keep the potatoes and onions in baskets on the kitchen counter. I also keep the chopping board near the baskets, which makes my cutting tasks easy.

I usually choose wicker baskets of cream, brown or chocolate colors because they look good with almost all colors of kitchen counter tops, cabinets and walls so I don’t have to change the baskets to match colors every time we move (if you are living in a rented home you would know these small things are actually helpful). I use uncovered baskets for the towels and vegetables and lidded baskets for the silverware.
