Himalayan Yeti, St. Louis, MO

We discovered this restaurant on our last trip to St. Louis. If you are craving for authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, then this place is worth going. As per the waiter, at Himalayan Yeti, they use locally grown fresh ingredients. Their spices are grounded fresh which always brings a fresher bolder flavor in the dishes.

Well we sure had a wonderful experience there. The staff paid us attention and suggested a Non-Veg Thali (plate) for us.

The Goat curry was delicious and all the other dishes tasted very Indian. It was exactly the kind of food you would find in a restaurant in India. The Raita was a bit sour for me and the Kheer could have been cooked for some time more, it should have been a bit thicker in consistency.

We also had Goat biryani. You can see from the photo how the rice has been cooked, each grain is separate and the meat was tender. Believe me it was as good as it looks. Our total bill was $35.00 and worth every cent. We would love to go there again.

I also read on their website that they offer a $10.00 lunch buffet which consists of Tandoori Chicken, Dal, Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and many other delicious dishes.

So if you are in St. Louis and love Indian food, give Himalayan Yeti a try and I am sure you wouldn’t be disappointed.
