Lili's Bistro, Dillon, CO

Lili's Bistro

119 La Bonte St #203, Dillon, CO 80435

We decided to get a take out from Lily's Bistro because our baby had cold and we wanted to stay in. We felt quite disappointed with the quantity and quality of the food. Seemed very experimental and out of flavor. The breads (tortillas/ Burrito etc) tasted a day old. The appetizer was good. We had the Lava Lava Shrimp which is crispy spiced shrimp over a bed of romaine and topped with lava lava sauce for $12. For main course we had Small Anaconda Burrito which has carne asada, pastor, caramelized onion, rice, beans, guac, lava lava sauce and spiced tomato sauce for $16, the guacamole was good, rest not so much. Our 2nd main course was Shrimp Tacos which is buttermilk fried shrimp, red cabbage, pico, lava lava sauce and lime wedge for $14. Again Shrimp tasted very good but the rest didn't. I know it's a small business and I am all for supporting small businesses but I will not want to go back there again.

By the way, while you are in Colorado, try their seltzers. They come in different flavors and taste amazing!

Arapahoe Cafe & Pub, Dillon, CO

Arapahoe Cafe & Pub, Dillon, CO

626 Lake Dillon Drive, Dillon, CO 80435

If you are in Dillion, CO, this cute little local cafe is a must visit. Why? First it is near an amazing lake so you can pretty much spend a whole day there if the weather is pretty. You will not believe how busy this place gets! We waited patiently for almost half an hour (we were told a waiting time of 15 minutes). The servers are nice and although there is no place to sit and wait you don't actually mind the wait time because its feels good to see all those people having a good time. Do ask the servers before opening the umbrellas they have a technique to it.

I ordered an Irish Coffee for $8.50 which has Jameson, Bailey’s, coffee and whipped cream in it. This drink is actually a feel good drink, you can really taste the alcohol in it. It is delicious.

For main course we ordered:
Bonnie’s Chicken & Waffles for $13.95, these are belgian buttermilk waffles with chicken fried chicken breast and two eggs.

Our 2nd main course was: Road House Hash for $14.95 which is slow-cooked corned beef brisket, potatoes, and onions with two eggs and toast or a biscuit.

I recommend going there, experience Dillion like a local.

The Blue Stag Saloon, Breckenridge, CO

The Blue Stag Saloon, Breckenridge, CO
323 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

First if you have ever seen Gilmore Girls and loved the town, the snow covered, busy little town filled with all the excitements, you will definitely love Breckenridge.

Second, this cute, cozy little restaurant is a must visit. Try their Pomegranate Mojito which is both delicious and warm. Also try their Loaded Brisket Skins (Smoked Beef Brisket, Chipotle BBQ Sauce, Jalapeño Cream Cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese, Scallion for $16.89) with one of the pizzas, we got the MARGHERITA (Fresh Cherry Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, Fresh Basil, Marinara sauce for $18.79).

The servers are friendly and courteous. We went there with baby Prisha (17 months old) and they brought us a high chair and waited patiently for us to order.

Isn't it wonderful to find a restaurant right when you need it! We were tired and hungry after spending a beautiful (rather cold) day at the White Lake (near Maroon Bells) and we started looking for a place to sit and enjoy a warm meal. We decided to sit outside with Prisha (17 months old) because it was a sunny afternoon. The waiter quickly got us a high chair and our menus. The food was prepared with the freshest ingredients and with no unnecessary spices. Try their GIANT CALAMARI (for $17.50), it's flash-fried with spicy chili sauce. We also got Penne with Rock Shrimp, avocados, tomatoes and basil in a three citrus cream sauce and their Special Dish of the Day - Ricotta with tomatoes and basil in a creamy sauce. We would love to go back there again.
