I love being a mom! Baby Prisha is now two months old and we are slowly getting everything back in order. I am thankful to all our friends who sent us food after our delivery and are still offering. However, now we think that we are doing pretty good on the baby front and can mange to take care of other stuff. Food comes first in that list of chores and so we have decided to plan and execute it in a way which will help us not only enjoy homemade food but also decrease the amount of time we would usually put in our kitchen everyday. How? By doing weekly cooking! Yes, every week we decide a menu, get the ingredients accordingly then get cooking. You will be surprised how much extra labor you can save by cooking multiple dishes on the same day. This week I decided to cook Kadhi, Palak Paneer Munger Dal, Rice and Alu Bhindi. Debarshi prepared Bhapa Ilish. He was also planning to cook mutton curry but we decided to let it go because we already had a lot of food for this week.
I also prepared some guacamole because well, I had avocados and it is always great to have something nice as a late afternoon snack.
