If you have only one day in Chicago, I would recommend going to Cindy’s. This is a rooftop bar/ eatery at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. The restaurant has a vaulted glass ceiling letting in all the beautiful sunshine and beauty of the city while keeping the wind out. Be aware that because of its unique location it will be crowded. So, make sure to plan ahead. You can enjoy a delicious meal from their menu or alcoholic/ non alcoholic drinks from their bar.
Make sure to go out on the terrace and click photos. You will be stunned to see the magnificent panoramic views of iconic Chicago landmarks - Millennium Park, The Art Institute, Lake Michigan and beyond.
Cindy’s is on our ‘Must-Eat List’ for our next Chicago visit. You see, by the time we reached there, the kitchen was already taking last orders. Having read numerous high praises about the food, we were quite excited to indulge in. Alas! We have to wait till next time. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy our drinks while taking in the beautiful rooftop views of the city.
