I love a homemade sauce. They taste so fresh and you can improvise the recipe as per your wish and requirement. Today I have a quick and easy sauce recipe flavored with herbs of your choice.
Before we proceed to discuss the recipe, let’s say a big thank you to Dr. Debarshi for creating this exquisite, delectable, over the top awesome sauce. We love Mediterranean food, so much so that we always have frozen gyro at home (thank you Costco!). However, we never have the Tzatziki sauce at home. Why? Because we always make some type of homemade on the spot sauce for it. This sauce is Debarshi’s latest recipe and it can be served not only with gyro but also on burgers and sandwiches. You can also serve this sauce with grilled/ roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables, steamed broccoli or fries. Garlic and Dijon mustard pack plenty of flavor to this sauce. To make it extra special, Debarshi always uses herbs from our very own herb garden.
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise – ¾ cup
- Dijon Mustard – 2 tablespoons
- Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
- Lemon Juice – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Salt – ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Fresh Herbs of your choice – a handful, washed thoroughly and chopped (Parsley, Cilantro, Mint)
