Zucchini Pear Mango Purée


Cilantro is only for the picture. You can choose to add a tablespoon of it in the puree to add some aroma and flavor.

I got the inspiration of this combo from a readymade baby food packet. I try not to buy a lot of pre-packaged foods for Prisha because I like making fresh foods for her with the best ingredients. However, we were getting our kitchen countertops updated and hence I had to get some readymade packets for her. She absolutely loved this combo. Maybe because it has everything sweet in it. So, I decided to recreate this combo for her and she liked it again. Mamas, try this delicious and nutritious combo of vegetable and fruits and make lunch time yummy time.



Ingredients:
  • Zucchini – 1, washed, cut into big cubes
  • Pear – 1, washed
  • Mango – 1 cup, fresh or frozen
  • Cilantro - a tablespoon, washed thoroughly (optional)

Directions:
  • Remove the stem and core of the Pear, you can do that by cutting the pear in half lengthwise then chopping it into pieces excluding the stem and core.
  • Take a small pot, add the Zucchini in it.
  • Add ½ cup of water, cover and cook till it is well cooked and tender (about 20 minutes).
  • Allow it to cool down a bit. 
  • Transfer to blender cup (Nutri Bullet cup) with the Pear and Mango (and Cilantro). 
  • Blend until smooth, add a tablespoon of water (in which Zucchini was cooked) till it is smooth enough for your baby.
  • Serve and let them enjoy the goodness!
  • This puree can be kept in the fridge for 1-2 days.
