Plum, Blackberry Puree with Yogurt

This delicious Plum Blackberry puree is quick to prepare. What makes it my favorite is, you can serve it, as it is or mix in some yogurt. You can also add some avocado in it and make a smoothie for yourself! I love these purees where it is a treat for both Prisha and me! We both love and approve this nutrient rich puree/ smoothie.

I recommend straining the puree whenever I am using any berries, so that the babies only get goodness not the seeds. Try to buy organic blackberries, make the puree fresh and serve immediately. I don’t recommend making a big batch but if you do, they should freeze well. Always wash the berries before making a puree/ consuming them.

If you are serving blackberries as finger foods, cut them in halves and stay nearby when serving them. Prisha does enjoy them in a puree, not so much as a finger food. They are easy to squish and hence make a great play time for the babies, more cleaning for the mamas!

Ingredients:
  • Dried Plums – 4-5
  • Blackberries – 1 cup, washed
  • Yogurt – ¼ cup (or as required)

Directions:
  • Dip the Dried Plums in ½ cup of water, cover and keep in the fridge overnight. Alternatively, you can microwave them, let them cool down completely and make the puree straight away.
  • Transfer to the blender cup (Nutri bullet cup) along with the Blackberries.
  • Blend to make a smooth puree, add more water (in which the Plums were dipped) if required.
  • Serve and let your baby enjoy the goodness!
  • This puree can be kept in the fridge for 1-2 days.
  • You can serve this Plum Blackberry puree as it is or mix the Yogurt in it right before serving.
